If you are reading this it might be because you want to know more about Worse Addictions and what makes it a support group for film addicts. Or perhaps because you want to find out if the people making this podcast are remotely qualified to be counselling those afflicted by obsessions of the cinematic variety. Both are equally valid inquires.
Worse Addictions was created as an alternative meeting place for the intelligent discussion of cinema past and present from a group of professional addicts/aficionados based outside of the US, which currently dominates the online debate. With its founders representing Scotland, France, Australia and England and recording episodes in Sydney, Australia, Worse Addictions is officially the Internet’s most global movie podcast and one not afraid to make such lofty declarations.
Every Sunday members of the team meet to discusses themes and topics relating to the week’s cinema releases in Australia, the US and the UK with a particular interest in exploring the work of specific filmmakers and promoting the Australian film scene.

Josh's love for cinema began early, repeatedly watching a movie where Charlton Heston tells some monkeys to back off. An obsessive cinephile, he has made films, worked on 'proper' films, been a cinema projectionist, run a video store and worked for the Sydney Film Festival. He is currently continuing his university career studying film and is sure he will finish at some point in his life.
